“And forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair”
-Kahlil Gibran
WHO WE ARE
Born in Africa we have always had a love and affinity for vast areas and beautiful landscapes. Together with our friends Ian and Jane Craig from Kenya we bought farm KumKum six years ago and have been living here for a while now..
Pete is a wildlife veterinarian and is often away for work. Estelle keeps the home fires burning.
Our children, Cheri and Benoit, both work in conservation and they are often to be found on the farm.
WHAT WE DO
We are only custodians of this beautiful piece of earth and we see it as our duty to return it to its original state of wilderness as far as possible.
We believe in touching the earth lightly. We hope to share our land, our plea and our effort with like-minded people.

“There is a road from the eye to the heart that does not go through the intellect. Men do not quarrel about the meaning of sunsets, they never dispute that the hawthorn says the best and wittiest thing about the spring”

Some of our terms

No food
If you come to stay with us, don't expect anyone to cater for anyone. This accommodation is for self-caterers only.

No entertainment
Sorry guys, no game drives in padded luxury game viewers here. If you want to experience the farm, get out there on your own capable feet! You will love it!

No beginner rides
We do have horses, but at this point of time we don't offer any horse safaris. If you are an experienced rider, you may go out there and catch a horse for an outride though.

No fuss
Our swimming pool is not heated, our roads are not asphalted, our leopards not tamed and our sunsets not photoshopped. If you like things this way, you won't want to leave.
